About me

Hello, my name’s Alessandra Zecchetto and I’m illustrator. Of what? I don’t like and can’t put limits to that. I like everything that tells a story. My ideas can come from anything, a film, a classic sculpture in a museum, or a person met on the street. I like stories, that’s why I’ve never stop to like fairy tales and children’s books. I’m probably a Peter Pan too… I’ve always been with a pencil in my hand and I’ve always drawn, even without a pen, I did it my head. At a certain point of my life I realised I didn’t want just painting and drawing, but tell a story too, and that’s why I got passionate especially with illustration. I studied art in High School and after that I got my degree in painting at the Art Academy G. B. Cignaroli of Verona, my hometown. After moving to London I did a short course of Book Illustration at the Chelsea Art College. I’m currently still live in London. It’s a crazy and stressful city, but undeniable stimulating. Nevertheless I consider still be with me my Italian sensibility for beauty. Yes, I think it’s part of us. We grow up surround by so much beauty that it can’t be avoid to be part of us. I’m really grateful for that. I love classic and modern art, photography, cinema and travelling. Visiting new places, different landscape, Discovery, different cultures and an adventures are things I hope they’ll help me on new perspectives, to say something that’s worth to be hear.

I hope you’ll like my work.
